Customers are getting desperate when it comes to Infineon TriCore™ microcontrollers. Supply remains exceptionally tight, with lead times stretching from 45 to 52 weeks. Any product that remains available is trading at exorbitant premiums. Due to these market conditions, some customers are looking at alternative temperature ranges to see if those products pass engineering specs.
Intel Server Processor Update
There has been little news regarding Intel server processors over the past 6-9 months. Although market pricing was at cost-saving levels, builders could not take advantage due to extremely high inventory levels. Lately, we have seen the tide change a bit. The market is still soft, and some builders have come in to save money and subsidize premiums used on other components. We're not expecting this recent activity to increase pricing unless someone makes a big splash and cleans out all available stock.
